A simple, yet efficient, methodology is proposed to classify three high energy materials (HEMs) with diverse composition using nanosecond laser induced breakdown spectroscopic data. We have calculated O/N, N/H, and O/H elemental peaks ratios using a ratio... see more

Research and development efforts for realizing higher performance levels of high energy materials (HEMs) are continued unabated all over the globe. Of late, it is becoming increasingly necessary to ensure that such materials are also eco-friendly. This ha... see more

Utilisation of propellant waste in fabrication of bricks is not only used as efficient waste disposal method but also to get better functional properties. In the present study, high energy propellant (HEP) waste additive mixed with soil and fly ash in dif... see more

Alkali activated materials (AAM) are generally cured at high temperatures to compensate for the low reaction rate. Higher temperature accelerates the reaction of AAM as in cement-based materials and this effect is generally predicted using Arrhenius equat... see more

In order to produce high performance concrete (HPC), fine Mexican mineral aggregates were characterized using chemical, physical and mineralogical procedures. Used materials included fly-ash, micro silica, silica fume, and coarse, fine and refined ground ... see more

Los hallazgos obtenidos pueden contribuir al perfeccionamiento del sistema sanitario de la institución y justifican, en buena medida, los esfuerzos que emanan del proyecto investigativo en que se insertan, en aras de contribuir a perfeccionar el sistema de salud existente en la institución.ABSTRACT Objective: to determine the level of physical activity of the students of the Latin American School of Medicine and of factors associated with it such as barriers, perceived stress and consumption of medications Materials and methods: a sample of 97 students of both years of the race was used: 32 (21%) of first and 65 (42%) of second. The questionnaires were applied for the revelation of the data: Global Physical Activity in determining the level of physical activity; Quiz of the barriers to physical activity, to determine the barriers and, the Stress Scale perceived in the determination of the perceived stress by the participants Results: they express that 72.9 students of the sample (75.2%) have a low level of physical activity. 62.5% consumed drugs continuously and 100% discontinuously in the last month. They were perceived as barriers to practices: lack of time (67%), lack of will (54%) and lack of energy (53%). According to the established scale, they perceived stress levels: low (43.3%), medium (32.9%) and high, 23.7% of the students. Conclusions: the research is a partial result of the project “Walking” that is deployed in the institution to promote physical activity. The findings obtained can contribute to the improvement of the health system of the institution and justify, to a large extent, the efforts emanating from the research project in which they are inserted, in order to contribute to improving the existing health system in the institution. Keywords: physical activity; consumption of medication; barriers to practice; perceived stress.
