Here, we provide an analysis of the microsaccades that occurred during continuous visual search and targeting of small faces that we pasted either into cluttered background photos or into a simple gray background.  Subjects continuously used their ey... see more

This paper proposed a multi-item multi-source probabilistic periodic review inventory model under a varying holding cost constraint with zero lead time when: (1) the stock level decreases at a uniform rate over the cycle. (2) some costs are varying. (3) t... see more

Multi-modal biometric verification systems use information from several biometric modalities to verify an identity of a person. The false acceptance rate (FAR)and false rejection rate (FRR) are metrics generally used to measure the performance of such sys... see more

The introduction of a new definition of singleton probability for continuous probability distributions solves both practical and theoretical problems. The new definition allows comparison of elementary event probabilities and solves a probability paradox.

Various characterizations of twenty two recently introduced distributions are presented. These characterizations are based on: (I) ration of two truncated moments; (ii) the hazard function and (iii) conditional expectations.

Utilizing a simple relationship between two truncated moments as well as certain functions of the 1st and of the nth order statistics, we characterize three extended classes of distributions proposed in (2015)

Inverted probability distributions find applications in various real – life situations including econometrics, survey sampling, biological sciences and life – testing. Closure under inversion implies that the reciprocal of a continuous random variable X h... see more

Abstract: Both order statistics and records arise naturally in many fields of studies such as climatology, sports, science, engineering, medicine, traffic, and industry, among others. Studies of their properties and applications play important roles in ma... see more
