Educación en valores morales y diversidad cultural: vínculo ineludible en la Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina/Education in moral values and cultural diversity: inescapable link in the Latin American School of Medicine Educación en valores morales y diversidad cultural: vínculo ineludible en la Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina/Education in moral values and cultural diversity: inescapable link in the Latin American School of MedicineObjetivo: exponer criterios sobre el vínculo ineludible entre la educación en valores morales y la diversidad cultural en los estudiantes de la Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina.Materiales y Método: se utilizó el método teórico, sustentado en la revisión documental sobre la importancia de formar valores morales en los estudiantes de la ELAM vinculado con la diversidad cultural. Los criterios de selección de la bibliografía fueron: presupuestos teóricos de la educación en valores morales en estudiantes e ideas sobre el respeto a la diversidad cultural.Resultados: la bibliografía consultada coincide en cuanto a la trascendencia de la educación en valores morales en colectivos multiculturales, en los que se producen otros procesos como la interculturalidad. Por lo que la relación entre educación en valores morales y diversidad cultural es inevitable en la formación de los estudiantes de la ELAM.Conclusiones: la educación en valores morales se fomenta en los estudiantes con sistematicidad, como proceso planificado y personalizado de los educadores y educandos, que tendrá en cuenta la relación con la diversidad cultural en los estudiantes de la ELAM.ABSTRACTObjective: to present criteria on the inescapable link between education in moral values and cultural diversity in the students of the Latin American School of Medicine.Materials and Method: the theoretical method was used, based on the documentary review on the importance offorming moral values in ELAM students linked to cultural diversity. The selection criteria of the bibliography were:theoretical assumptions of education in moral values in students and ideas about respect for cultural diversity.Results: the bibliography consulted coincides with the transcendence of education in moral values in multicultural collectives, in which other processes such as interculturality are produced. So the relationship between education in moral values and cultural diversity is inevitable in the training of ELAM students.Conclusions: education in moral values is fostered in students with systematic, as planned and personalized process of educators, which will take into account the relationship with cultural diversity in ELAM students.
