A mathematical model is developed to estimate longitudinal forces in freight cars in various control regimes. The corresponding software is created. Now more than 30 railway sheds use it.

The results of experiment on definition of the additional longitudinal forces arising in a railway ahead of a braking train are considered in the article.

Using finite elements method a numerically pull out test is reproduced that usually is performed in composite slabs with steel deck to estimate slip resistance due to longitudinal shear forces between steel deck and concrete block surfaces. Has been assum... see more

Problem statement. By means of mathematical modelling it is investigated longitudinal forces of non-uniform bulk trains at various ways of braking. Various schemes of formation of the bulk trains, consisting of four-axised and eight-axised tanks with vari... see more

Based on target-oriented dynamic tests of a freight car, it has been shown that the use of some strain measurement schemes for measuring the coefficients of unsprung-mass vertical dynamic additions results in very high errors. It is suggested to reject th... see more

Introduction: The traction forces can be determined theoretically with different relations, or they can be measured in field with different implements. The collective of Technical Sciences and Soil Sciences, from the Faculty of Agriculture has developed a... see more
