Riesgo cardiovascular en pacientes mayores de 40 años / Cardiovascular risk in patients older than 40 years Riesgo cardiovascular en pacientes mayores de 40 años / Cardiovascular risk in patients older than 40 yearsObjetivo: ampliar el conocimiento sobre los principales factores de riesgo cardiovasculares que afectan a la población en general y en especial a los adultos mayores de 40 años.Métodos: se realiza una revisión bibliográfica para ampliar el conocimiento sobre los principales factores de riesgo cardiovasculares que afectan a la población en general y en especial a los adultos mayores de 40 años.Resultados: las enfermedades cardiovasculares (ECV) tienen una prevalencia muy alta, están diagnosticadas en 80 millones de adultos, casi 35% de la población adulta. Actualmente se debe a ella más del 30% de las muertes, con una distribución preferencial en los países de nivel económico alto. Se calcula que en el año 2030 morirían cerca de 23,3 millones de personas por enfermedades cardiovasculares, sobre todo por cardiopatías y accidentes car-diovasculares.Conclusiones: el riesgo total de sufrir enfermedades cardiovasculares está determinado por el efecto combinado de los factores de riesgo cardiovascular, que suelen coexistir y actúan de forma multiplicativa. Un individuo con varios factores de riesgo levemente elevados puede tener mayor riesgo total de enfermedades cardiovasculares que otra persona que solo tenga un factor de riesgo alto.ABSTRACTObjective: to conduct a course on Agroecology, with the creation of organic community gardens, training communities in health promotion and disease prevention, food and environmental education Materials and methods: the practical basis of the course is based on the pedagogy of the example, while the theoretical basis has three main pillars that will be disseminated in multiple subthemes, these being: Agroecological production and permaculture, food and nutrition education and alternative culinary techniques.Results: this project allowed to identify farmers who stopped using agrotoxins using the biological control resource, allowing a remarkable increase in local biodiversity and stimulating the community to make gardens in their quintals, abandoned squares, unproductive lands, among others.Conclusions: a great change observed was social empowerment and increased selfesteem, generated through the development of the modules and the observation of changes made by the collective.
