SUMMARY
Objective: This study aimed to analyze anthropogenic and climatic interactionsfrom the comparison between cases patients register with respiratory problems and hotspots. Methods: The data wereobtained from Hospital Information System of SUS (DATASUS/SUS), National Institute of Spatial Research and the bulletins fromMCDW (Monthly Climatic Data for The World). It was used three different statistical methods: Pearson's Linear Correlation,Spearman's Correlation and Partial Correlation. Results: Our results demonstrate seasonality of the hotspots on dry season.Concerning to internments caused by diseases in respiratory system, there was not seasonality to asthma cases in people over70 years old. Diseases in respiratory system in children before 4 years old was concentrated in the beginning of the wet periodand in the end of dry period. Discussion: Some studies have shown a greater occurrence of respiratory diseases in the elderlyand children when compared with other ages. Conclusion: The research showed positive correlation between the number ofpatience with respiratory diseases, atmospheric press and number of the hotspotsKeywords: Particulate matter. Air pollution.
