"EUSCORPIUS" - the online research journal of scorpiology.

SUMMARY

We present "Euscorpius", the first and only periodical, online research publication completely devoted to scorpions (Arachnida: Scorpiones), which is located online at www.science.marshall.edu/fet/euscorpius and on Marshall Digital Scholar (MDS) at http://mds.marshall.edu/euscorpius/. A peer-reviewed publication, it is published only in electronic form. Since its inception in 2001, Euscorpius has published 218 issues authored by 137 zoologists from 31 countries. In 2002-2016, 184 new species and 13 new genera of scorpions from 52 countries have been described and published in this journal. Victor Fet, professor of biological sciences at Marshall, and Michael E. Soleglad of Winchester, California, are the editors of "Euscorpius". "Euscorpius" takes advantage of the evolving medium of rapid and continuous online publication, while at the same time maintaining high research standards for the burgeoning field of scorpion science (scorpiology). Marshall Digital Scholar (MDS: http://mds.marshall.edu/) is Marshall’s institutional digital repository that supports open access or subscription-based journals.
