El Taller de apreciación y creación sobre el baile popular cubano “Casino” para los estudiantes de la Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina El Taller de apreciación y creación sobre el baile popular cubano “Casino” para los estudiantes de la Escuela Latinoamericana de MedicinaObjetivo: fundamentar la práctica del baile popular “Casino” en los estudiantes de la Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina a través de un taller artístico de apreciación y creación desde la extensión universitaria para el mejoramiento de su calidad de vida y formación cultural.Métodos: se utilizaron métodos teóricos y empíricos, además la observación que permitió valorar las condiciones reales que presentan los estudiantes respecto a la promoción de la Cultura Musical Danzaria cubana en la escuela. Se aplicaron entrevistas a dirigentes y encuestas a estudiantes.Resultados: se aprecian a través de la participación de estos estudiantes en diferentes actividades culturales,aplicando la creación, la ejercitación física, el buen mantenimiento de la salud, la apropiación de conocimientos, de arte, de cultura cubana y de tradición.Conclusiones: el taller de baile Casino permite además actuar en la interrelación social, la proporción deconocimientos, y el desarrollo de aptitudes y habilidades artísticas influyendo en el perfeccionamiento y mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de los estudiantes, la formación de sus personalidades y el enriquecimiento de sus valores.ABSTRACTObjective: to base the practice of popular dance “Casino” on the students of the Latin American School of Medicine through an artistic workshop of appreciation and creation from the university extension for the improvement of their quality of life and cultural formation.Methods: theoretical and empirical methods were used, as well as the observation that allowed to assess the real conditions presented by the students regarding the promotion of the Cuban Dancing Musical Culture in the school. Interviews with leaders and surveys were applied to students.Results: they are appreciated through the participation of these students in different cultural activities, applyingthe creation, the physical exercise, the good maintenance of health, the appropriation of knowledge, art, Cuban culture and tradition.Conclusions: the Casino dance workshop also allows acting in the social interrelation, the proportion of knowledge, and the development of skills and artistic abilities influencing the improvement and improvement of the quality of life of students, the formation of their personalities and the enrichment of their values.

La pronunciación y la enseñaza de inglés en las Ciencias Médicas La pronunciación y la enseñaza de inglés en las Ciencias MédicasIntroducción: La pronunciación en el idioma inglés tiene una importancia extraordinaria, ya que la misma está estrechamente relacionada con el significado de las palabras, que a su vez contienen la información que se brinda en el discurso oral. Objetivo: Reflexionar sobre el papel que desempeña la pronunciación como un aspecto esencial en la comunicación en la enseñanza de inglés en las Ciencias Médicas. Material y Métodos: La información se obtuvo mediante métodos teóricos de análisis y síntesis de revisiones documentales y bibliográficas sobre el tema. Desarrollo: En el contexto de las Ciencias Médicas, el estudio del idioma inglés favorece la formación de un profesional integral con una competencia comunicativa en esta lengua, que le permita resolver los problemas más generales y frecuentes que se presentan en su esfera de actuación. Para ello el estudiante además de utilizar la gramática, el vocabulario y las funciones comunicativas de forma correcta debe tener una pronunciación razonablemente buena. Conclusiones: La pronunciación en idioma inglés es un aspecto esencial para una comunicación eficiente. Si el estudiante no produce los sonidos de forma inteligible no será capaz de comunicarse o lo hará con dificultades, lo que traerá como consecuencia interferencias en la comunicación. Esto sugiere que la enseñanza de la pronunciación tiene que ser integrada con los otros aspectos y habilidades lingüísticas en aras de lograr la competencia comunicativa.Palabras clave: pronunciación, comunicación, enseñanza, aprendizaje, inglés.ABSTRACTIntroduction: Pronunciation in the English language is of an extraordinary importance because it is closely related with the meaning of the words, and at the same time contains the information given in the oral speech. Objective: To reflect upon the role of pronunciation as an essential aspect in communication in English teaching in Medical Sciences. Material and Methods: Theoretical methods of analysis and synthesis of literature and documentary reviews allowed us to gather information. Development: In the medical sciences context, the study of the English language favors the training of a comprehensive professional with a comunicative competence in this language, which allows him/her to solve the most general and frequent problems of his /her acting sphere. That is why, the student has to use not only the grammar, vocabulary and the communicative functions correctly, but he/she has to pronounce reasonably well. Conclusions: English pronunciation is essential for effective communication. If students fail to produce sounds intelligibly, they will not be able to communicate appropriately, resulting in interference in communication; therefore, this suggests that pronunciation teaching has to be integrated in the classroom with the other linguistic aspects and language skills for the achievement of the communicative competence.      Key words: pronunciation, communication, teaching, learning, English.
