Riesgo cardiovascular en pacientes mayores de 40 años / Cardiovascular risk in patients older than 40 years Riesgo cardiovascular en pacientes mayores de 40 años / Cardiovascular risk in patients older than 40 yearsObjetivo: ampliar el conocimiento sobre los principales factores de riesgo cardiovasculares que afectan a la población en general y en especial a los adultos mayores de 40 años.Métodos: se realiza una revisión bibliográfica para ampliar el conocimiento sobre los principales factores de riesgo cardiovasculares que afectan a la población en general y en especial a los adultos mayores de 40 años.Resultados: las enfermedades cardiovasculares (ECV) tienen una prevalencia muy alta, están diagnosticadas en 80 millones de adultos, casi 35% de la población adulta. Actualmente se debe a ella más del 30% de las muertes, con una distribución preferencial en los países de nivel económico alto. Se calcula que en el año 2030 morirían cerca de 23,3 millones de personas por enfermedades cardiovasculares, sobre todo por cardiopatías y accidentes car-diovasculares.Conclusiones: el riesgo total de sufrir enfermedades cardiovasculares está determinado por el efecto combinado de los factores de riesgo cardiovascular, que suelen coexistir y actúan de forma multiplicativa. Un individuo con varios factores de riesgo levemente elevados puede tener mayor riesgo total de enfermedades cardiovasculares que otra persona que solo tenga un factor de riesgo alto.ABSTRACTObjective: to conduct a course on Agroecology, with the creation of organic community gardens, training communities in health promotion and disease prevention, food and environmental education Materials and methods: the practical basis of the course is based on the pedagogy of the example, while the theoretical basis has three main pillars that will be disseminated in multiple subthemes, these being: Agroecological production and permaculture, food and nutrition education and alternative culinary techniques.Results: this project allowed to identify farmers who stopped using agrotoxins using the biological control resource, allowing a remarkable increase in local biodiversity and stimulating the community to make gardens in their quintals, abandoned squares, unproductive lands, among others.Conclusions: a great change observed was social empowerment and increased selfesteem, generated through the development of the modules and the observation of changes made by the collective. Diseño de un medio de enseñanza, para el estudio de técnicas hemostáticas en sangramientos postonsilectomía Design of a Teaching Aid in the Study of the Hemostatic Techniques in Post-tonsillectomy BleedingDiseño de un medio de enseñanza, para el estudio de técnicas hemostáticas en sangramientos postonsilectomía Design of a Teaching Aid in the Study of the Hemostatic Techniques in Post-tonsillectomy BleedingSe confeccionó un medio de enseñanza por tres especialistas de Otorrinolaringología del Hospital Pediátrico Provincial Docente "Pepe Portilla" de Pinar del Río en el año 2006. Se lograron mostrar, mediante el uso de esta maqueta, las diferentes estructuras anatómicas de la orofaringe y la conducta a seguir ante el sangramiento en pacientes amigdalectomizados. Se utilizaron materiales desechables y de bajo costo para su diseño. Se obtuvo el 100 % de promoción en los estudiantes de la brigada # 88 con el aprendizaje de la anatomía orofaríngea y el dominio de las técnicas para hacer hemostasia en el sangramiento de pacientes tonsilectomizados. Disposal and low cost materials were used for the design . A promotion of 100 percent was attained in students from the Brigade 88 knowing the oropharyngeal anatomy as well as the techniques for the hemostasis in presence of bleeding in patients undergone a tonsillectomy.Key words: TEACHING/methods, TEACHING MATERIAL, HAEMOSTATIC TECHNIQUES, MEDICINE STUDENTS.
