DeCS: AGENESIA DENTARIA, MALOCLUSION, DISCREPANCIA HUESO DIENTE. ABSTRACT Dental agenesis is the non-formation of one or more deciduous or permanent teeth with a varied etiology. In this condition it is necessary that a throughout study to assess the problem and the management must be performed taking into account the number and the distribution of agenesis as well as the age at the moment of diagnosis. Each patient must be studied for the tooth bone relation as if there have been no agenesis to determine or not the need of a treatment based on extractions to attain an adequate occlusion. The authors propose a guide to the treatment and the age in which the treatment must be applied, taking into account the agenesis site, the need or not for extractions and if they are unilateral or bilateral. It is concluded that it is necessary to arrive a consensus about the management in relation to the malocclusion produced by specific alterations as in case of the dental agenesis.
