La elaboración de instrumentos evaluativos escritos que cumplan las funciones de la evaluación es un reto para los docentes y los profesores principales de las asignaturas de la disciplina principal integradora de la carrera de Medicina. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la calidad del examen parcial escrito de la asignatura Medicina Comunitaria. El colectivo de investigadores escogió la metodología utilizada durante varios años por el profesor MSc. Pedro Augusto Díaz Rojas para evaluar la calidad de los instrumentos. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal en el que se analizaron la totalidad de los exámenes realizados por los estudiantes (1006), en una hoja de cálculo de Microsoft Excel se tabularon los resultados del examen aplicado, se incluyeron los de cada ítem categorizados en correcto (c) e incorrecto (i), la calificación de cada pregunta y la nota final del examen, para su posterior procesamiento estadístico comprobándose  correspondencia del fondo de tiempo asignado en el P1 a los contenidos y cantidad de ítems que exploran la mayoría de los ítems y preguntas del examen se consideraron de dificultad media, el coeficiente alfa de Cronbach fue de 0,60 apuntando que es un instrumento confiable. El examen parcial escrito se evalúa de confiable, con la calidad requerida, y la mayoría de los ítems se clasificó como de dificultad media.Palabras clave: evaluación; instrumento evaluativo escrito; evaluación formativa.ABSTRACT The evaluation regulates the teaching and learning process, provides feedback to teachers and has an important educational function. The elaboration of written evaluation instruments that fulfill the functions of the evaluation is a challenge for the teachers and the main professors of the subjects of the main discipline integrating the Medicine career. The objective of this work was to evaluate the quality of the written partial exam of the Community Medicine course. The group of researchers chose the methodology used for several years by Professor MSc. Pedro Augusto Díaz Rojas to evaluate the quality of the instruments. A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out in which all the exams performed by the students were analyzed (1006), in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet the results of the applied test were tabulated, those of each item categorized in correct were included ( c) and incorrect (i), the qualification of each question and the final grade of the exam, for subsequent statistical processing, checking the correspondence of the time fund allocated in P1 to the contents and quantity of items that explore most of the items and Exam questions were considered of medium difficulty, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.60 pointing out that it is a reliable instrument. The written partial exam is evaluated as reliable, with the required quality, and most of the items were classified as medium difficulty.Keywords: evaluation; written evaluation instrument; formative evaluation.
