INTERACTION OF EASTERN THEATRICAL PRACTICES AND EUROPEAN AVANT-GARDE THEATRE (LANGUAGE ASPECT)

SUMMARY

At the border of the XIX–XX centuries, the period of crisis of the European naturalistic theater, European avant-gardists look to the eastern theater experience through the reference to the origins of the theater’s nature, and seek to enrich the theatrical forms, examining the Eastern theater heritage. Specific plastic visual «code» of the eastern theatrical language, mysterial nature of the stage action, a special mechanism of creating sense — all these structural elements of Eastern theater practice theatrical avant-garde owes its specific features.
