SUMMARY
The present study aims to investigate the relationship between components of transformational leadership and directors' performance of Farhangian University, campuses and higher education centers in Isfahan province. Method of the research is descriptive and correlation type. The research statistical population has consisted of all professors and staff, of Farhangian University, campuses and higher education centers in Isfahan that has been 175 people among whom 120 people have been selected using the sample size formula and with simple random sampling. Measuring tools has been the standard questionnaire of transformational leadership style by Bass and a research-made questionnaire on directors' performance. Face and content validity of the questionnaires has been confirmed by the experts, the questionnaires reliability has been determined calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient as 0.97 and 0.83, respectively. The results have been analyzed in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation tests, stepwise regression, independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance). The research results showed that there is a significant relationship between the components of transformational leadership style (idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, inspirational motivation, and individual consideration) and directors' performance of Farhangian University, campuses and higher education centers (planning, organizing and coordinating, directing and leading, controlling and monitoring), (P = 0.01).
