SUMMARY
ABSTRAKKemampuan komunikasi sangat penting dimiliki siswa di era abad 21. Penggunaan bahan ajar yang tepat dapat mengembangkan keterampilan yang diperlukan. Peneliti beranggapan perlu adanya pengembangan bahan ajar berupa Lembar Kegiatan Siswa dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan, kelayakan dan efektivitas produk LKS pembelajaran IPA berbasis STEM dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi siswa. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan research and development dengan model ASSURE. Instrumen penelitian berupa wawancara, observasi, dan angket. Siswa kelas 5 MI Al Ittihad Ciampea Bogor dijadikan subjek pada penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menyatakan produk pengembangan layak digunakan sesuai dengan hasil persentase penilaian ahli materi sebesar 90,7%, ahli bahasa sebesar 94,4% dan ahli desain 84,1% yang dikategorikan sangat valid. Kemampuan komunikasi siswa dapat dilihat dari besarnya peningkatan nilai pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 14,6 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 7,6. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan LKS berbasis STEM layak dan efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi.Kata Kunci: LKS Pembelajaran IPA, STEM, Kemampuan Komunikasi ABSTRACTCommunication skills are very important for students in the 21st century era. The use of appropriate teaching materials can develop the necessary skills. Researchers think it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of Student Activity Sheets in an effort to improve communication skills. This research was conducted to determine the development process, feasibility and effectiveness of STEM-based science learning worksheets in improving students' communication skills. The design of this study uses research and development with the ASSURE model. Research instruments in the form of interviews, observations, and questionnaires. 5th grade students of MI Al Ittihad Ciampea Bogor were used as subjects in this study. The results of the study stated that the development product was feasible to use according to the results of the percentage assessment of material experts by 90.7%, linguists 94.4% and design experts 84.1% which were categorized as very valid. Students' communication skills can be seen from the increase in the pretest and posttest of the experimental class by 14.6 and the control class by 7.6. It can be concluded that the development of STEM-based worksheets is feasible and effective to use to improve communication skills.Keywords: LKS Learning Science, STEM, Communication Skills
