Maya Index Aedes spp. di Kelurahan Kutabanjarnegara Kecamatan Banjarnegara Kabupaten Banjarnegara

SUMMARY

Banjarnegara is a new endemic area of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). In 2009-2010,in Banjarnegara District dengue cases increased. Maya index was used to identify a highrisk area as a breeding sites of Aedes spp. mosquitoes. The study was conducted inKutabanjarnegara sub district in May 2012. Larval survey was done to determine thepresence of water shelter around 100 meters of DHF cases. Grouping Maya index statusused hygiene risk index and breeding risk index indicators. The results showed a higherproportion of controllable sites (88.6%) with positive larvae 4.9%. Flower pots, plant potbases, and washstand are type of containers which are more founded larvae of Aedes spp.on controllable sites. Bamboo fence was the most prevalent (60%) on disposable sites.Most of household in this study sites included in medium category of breeding risk index(75%), medium category of hygiene risk index (91%), and medium category of Maya index(78.2%). Kutabanjarnegara sub dstrict has a medium risk level as breeding sites of Aedesspp. based on Maya index status.
