SUMMARY
This study sought to investigate the factors affecting student persistence rate in eduction in Fenouj, Iran from the perspective of teachers. This was a descriptive-survey study. Based on Cochran sampling formula, 224 teachers (57 female and 167 male teachers) were selected as the study sample using random-stratified sampling technique. The results showed that from the prespective of teachers, cultural, social and economic factors play a large role in the student persistence rate in rural areas. Recognition and pathology of cultural, social and economic factors can increase persistence rate and reduce the dropout rate in rural areas.
