SUMMARY
Bu arastirmanin amaci, internet kullaniminin Türkçeye etkilerini belirlemektir. Arastirmada nitel arastirma desenlerinden durum çalismasi deseni; veri toplama tekniklerinden de dokümanlar kullanilmistir. Internet ortaminda MSN ve forum kayitlarindan elde edilen bulgular içerik analiziyle degerlendirilmistir. Bulgular, ‘ses özelikleri’, ‘kelime’, ‘söz dizimi’ ve ‘imlâ’ olmak üzere dört ana düzlemde ele alinmistir. Arastirma sonucunda, internet ortaminda yazi dilinin rast gele ve özensiz olarak kullanildigi, kelimelerin yaziminda kisaltmalara ve konusma dili unsurlarina yer verildigi belirlenmistir. Ingilizce kurallarin ve Ingilizce kelimelerin Türkçenin yapisini bozdugu ve dilde yozlasmaya neden oldugu gözlenmistir.This study aims to investigate the effects of internet on the Turkish language. Case study which is a qualitative research design was used for the study. With this aim in mind, forum and MSN records were evaluated with content analysis. Findings were examined based on four factors; “sound characteristic”, “words”, “syntax” and “orthography”. At the end of the study it was observed that new expressions, patterns, symbols and using practices are entering in Turkish language via internet. It also affected the content and symbols of written language. The borrowed rules and words from English spoil the structure of the Turkish language and causes degeneration.
