SUMMARY
One obstacle dryland agricultural land is the lack of availability of water for crops in the dry season. On sloping land agricultural areas, the potential for runoff (runoff) is rarely used as a source of irrigation water. Water runoff can be collected and used as a irrigation in the dry season. The purpose of this study to analyze the ratio of catchment and cultivable area of the run-off management system in dry land. The research was conducted by survey method and descriptive analytic by observation field conditions, mapping the location and analysis of potential runoff. The location of research is an area of dry land in Jatinangor. The results of the analysis of runoff theoretically with rational method showed that the cumulative runoff in a year amounted to 1160.05 m3, indicating that the surface runoff is potentially as an alternative source of irrigation in dry land. Analysis of the ratio of catchment areas and cultivated areas show the value of the C: CA 14.8, meaning that in order to meet the water needs of the corn crop in the area of 1000 m2 for 3 seasons in a year needed catchment area of 14800 m2.
