HYPNOBIRTHING SEBAGAI SELF HYPNOSIS DALAM MENURUNKAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN PADA IBU HAMIL

SUMMARY

Pregnancy is a memorable experience in a woman's life and is part of a valuable experience for married couples. Women adjust to their pregnancy during the pregnancy process, and many women experience disappointment and worry as a reaction to hormones and physical and psychological changes.  Anxiety while pregnancy is dangerous to both the mother and the fetus, resulting in high blood pressure, preeclampsia, premature birth, and low birth weight, all of which put the mother and fetus at danger of mortality. Hypnobirthing is a way to reduce anxiety and does not affect fetal growth and development. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of hypnobirthing as self-hypnosis in lowering anxiety levels in pregnant women. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a sample number of 50 pregnant women. The location of the data collection is in the Independent Practice Midwife in Jakarta. The variables used in the study were the anxiety level of pregnant women as dependent variables and hypnobirthing as independent variables. The HARS questionnaire assessed the participants' anxiety levels before and after the intervention. The analysis used is a univariate analysis and bivariate analysis (Wilcoxon sign test).  The research has found a 0.92 difference in anxiety levels before and after hypnobirthing. P-value of 0,0001, which confirmed hypnobirthing increases anxiety. Keywords:hypnobirthing; pregnancy; anxiety
