SUMMARY
The article highlights the issue of quality evaluation, selection and use of electronic learning tools and resources, identifying the most appropriate ways to use them. It is stressed that the listed issues are closely connected with the certain scientific and methodological approaches to the classification and evaluation of these agents. It is shown that the types of teaching and learning activities can be a backbone of electronic learning tools classification, to be a base for appropriate guidelines for the selection and application of these tools. It is proved that the essential condition for successful involvement of the ICT tools into the learning process is to take account of requirements for their quality, particularly in their methodical aspects.
