SUMMARY
The aim of this research is to determine perceptions of sports sciences faculty students regarding concept of exam through metaphors. The study group of the research consisted of 38 sports sciences faculty students. In order to collect data, a metaphor form was prepared to determine the perceptions of the participants regarding the concept of exam. In the research, phenomenological model, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. Content analysis technique was used in the analysis of the data. For the reliability of the analysis of the research data, the coefficient of reliability intercoder was calculated as 88%. It was observed that the students of the sports sciences faculty produced a total of 33 metaphors. Produced metaphors were gathered in 3 categories. These categories are anxiety (16 metaphor), obstacle (9 metaphor) and race (8 metaphor). The metaphors produced most by the participants were determined as stress, marathon and trouble respectively. ÖzetBu arastirmanin amaci, spor bilimleri fakültesi ögrencilerinin sinav kavramina iliskin sahip olduklari algilari metaforlar yardimiyla belirlemektir. Arastirmanin çalisma grubunu 38 spor bilimleri fakültesi ögrencisi olusturmustur. Veri toplamak amaciyla katilimcilara sinav kavramina iliskin sahip olduklari algilarini belirlemek için metafor formu hazirlanmistir. Arastirmada, nitel arastirma yöntemlerinden olgubilim deseni kullanilmistir. Verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi teknigi kullanilmistir. Arastirma verilerinin analizinin güvenirligi için katilimcilar arasi güvenirlik kat sayisi %88 olarak hesaplanmistir. Verilerin degerlendirilmesiyle, spor bilimleri fakültesi ögrencilerinin toplam 33 metafor ürettikleri görülmüstür. Üretilen bu metaforlar 3 kategoride toplanmistir. Bu kategoriler, kaygi (16 metafor), engel (9 metafor) ve yaris (8 metafor) kategorileridir. Katilimcilarin en fazla ürettigi metaforlar stres, maraton ve dert seklinde siralanmistir. Sinav kavrami için dogada ürkütücü olarak bilinen hayvanlara (yilan, örümcek, akbaba, vampir) yapilan benzetmeler dikkati çekmistir.
