SUMMARY
Significant contamination of soil and water by oil industry necessitates the development of new and finding ways to intensify the existing methods of cleaning up the environment. Approaches to intensify bioremediation of oil pollution through the use of force fields, including electric field and ultrasound are considered. Accelerating and increased rate of the biodegradation occur mainly by increasing the mass transfer in the environment, stimulating enzymatic activity of microorganisms, acceleration of cell growth and impact on the configuration and reactivity of hydrocarbons molecules.
