SUMMARY
Bullying is aggressive behavior carried out by individuals or groups against other people or groups that are repeated by hurting physically or mentally. Bullying can lead to depression, lack of self-confidence, sadness (feelings of sadness, grief, grief), ignorance, worthlessness so that their self-esteem becomes low and increases social. Efforts to increase the prevention of bullying behavior can be carried out by increasing knowledge of the impact of bullying through the implementation of education. Families, especially mothers, are individuals who are close to children and often communicate with children. Mothers need sufficient knowledge of the dangers of bullying and its prevention so that they can provide knowledge to children if there is bullying behavior. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of education on maternal knowledge about physical and psychological prevention in elementary school children. This type of research is a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design with a population of mothers with elementary school-age children. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. This research instrument is an instrument of student knowledge about bullying which consists of 17 questions in the form of closed questions that have been tested for validity and reliability with reliable results with a result of 0.361. The results of the research P-value is 0.000 <0.005, there is a meaning of an education on the knowledge of mothers about bullying as an effort to prevent physical and psychological violence in elementary school children. It is suggested that the child's parents can be used as an alternative intervention to increase parents' knowledge in preventing bullying.
