SUMMARY
Evolutionary computing is the collective name for a range of problem-solving techniques based on principles of biological evolution. It mimics the processes of biological evolution with its ideas of natural selection and survival of the ?ttest to solve optimization problems. It uses algorithms such as genetic algorithms, genetic programming, evolutionary strategies, immune programming, artificial neural network, and evolutionary programming. This paper provides a brief introduction on evolutionary computing.
