DEVELOPMENT OF DENTAL CARIES MANAGEMENT CONCEPTS TO MINIMAL INTERVENTION

SUMMARY

Various concepts in dental caries management which were presented by experts and developed since the eighties will be briefly reviewed. The aim of those concepts were in a way similar, which were treating dental caries by its etiology and control of risk factors which are different for every patient. On the other hand, operative treatment should be minimized. Therefore, all of those concepts could be considered as minimal intervention.
