SUMMARY
RESUMOAs fraseologias povoam a comunicação diária e expressam mensagens típicas de um povo. Elas dão à língua um encanto especial, facilitam a expressividade de certas situações do dia a dia e estão presentes nas interações sociais de todo o tipo e em textos orais e escritos. As fraseologias são cientificamente conhecidas por unidades fraseológicas ou expressões fixas, embora recebam outros nomes como unidades lexicais complexas, frasemas, fraseolexemas, combinações fraseológicas etc. As unidades fraseológicas descrevem a história de um povo por meio das informações culturais contidas em suas formações e, pela sua importância, carecem de mais pesquisas da área. É nesse sentido que este artigo objetiva argumentar a favor da importância da pesquisa nos dicionários bilíngues (neste caso, do português como língua fonte para o inglês como língua alvo) e da necessidade da inserção das fraseologias com suas traduções nesses dicionários. Os pressupostos teóricos se baseiam na chamada Metalexicografia em interface com a Fraseologia e com o Ensino de Língua Estrangeira (LE). Entre seus autores podemos citar Lewis (1993); Coady; Huckin (1997); Xatara (1998); Ortiz Alvarez (2000; 2002); Moudraia (2001); Tagnin (2005); Leal Riol (2011). O artigo esclarece que a apreensão do léxico e suas combinações lexicais se constituem uma dificuldade quando se trata do ensino e aprendizagem de língua estrangeira e, por isso, justifica-se, desse modo, a necessidade de se ensinar e dicionarizar os fraseologismos da língua portuguesa.ABSTRACTPhraseologies crowd the daily communication and express typical messages of a people. They give the language a special enchantment, facilitate the expressiveness of certain everyday situations and are present in social interactions of all kinds, oral and written texts. The phraseologies are scientifically known by phraseological units or fixed expressions, although they receive other names like complex lexical units, Phrasemes, Phraseolexemes, phraseological combinations, etc. Phraseological units describe the history of a people by means of cultural information contained in their formations and, because of their importance, they need more research in the area. Therefore, this article aims at arguing in favor of the importance of research in bilingual dictionaries (in this case, Portuguese as a source language for English as the target language) and the need to insert phraseologies with their translations in those dictionaries. The theoretical assumptions are based on the so-called Metalexicography in interface it does with Phraseology and the Teaching of Foreign Language (EFL). Among its authors we can cite Lewis (1993); Coady; Huckin (1997); Xatara (1998); Ortiz Alvarez (2000; 2002); Moudraia (2001); Tagnin (2005); Leal Riol (2011). The article clarifies that the apprehension of the lexicon and its lexical combinations constitute a difficulty when it comes to the teaching and learning of foreign language fixed phrases and, it is justified therefore, the necessity to teach and to dictionarize phraseologies of the Portuguese language.
