SUMMARY
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence andempathy with bullying behavior in 242 Lenteng Agung South Jakarta SMPN students. Researchusing quantitative methods with independent variables in this study are emotional intelligence andempathy while the dependent variable in this study is bullying behavior. The population of thisstudy was 144. The sampling technique used random sampling techniques. Samples wereobtained as many as 103 respondents consisting of classes 7 and 8. Based on the results of dataanalysis using SPSS version 22.0 for windows with bivariate correlation techniques, showed nosignificant relationship with the negative direction between emotional intelligence with bullyingbehavior with a correlation coefficient r = 0.713 with p = 0,000; p> 0.05, and there is no significantrelationship with the negative direction between empathy and bullying behavior with thecorrelation coefficient (r = 0.068 with p = 0.000; p> 0.05) So the hypothesis states there is norelationship between emotional intelligence and empathy with behavior bullying of students atSMPN 242 Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.
