PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN QUANTUM WRITING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS KARANGAN DESKRIPSI SISWA KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 2 PANCA RIJANG [The Effect of Quantum Writing Learning Methods on The Ability of Writing Description Essay for Grade XI Students of Senior High School 2 Panca Rijang]

SUMMARY

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan pada aspek kemampuan ketrampilan menulis karangan deskripsi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Panca Rijang. Permasalahan tersebut antara lain (1) siswa kurang merespon pembelajaran menulis karangan deskripsi, (2) siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mendeskripsikan suatu objek atau peristiwa dalam betuk karangan, (3) Guru tidak mengnakan metode pembelajaran yang inovatif guna untuk merangsan dan mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis, (4) Siswa kurang sadar akan pentingnya mempelajari karangan deskripsi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian infrensial yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak adanya pengaruh pengunaan metode Quantum Writing terhadp hasil belajar siswa pada kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Panca Rijang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa nilai empiris lebih besar daripada nilai tabel yaitu 7,187 lebih besar daripada 2,201 pada taraf signifikan 5% dan 7,187 lebih besar dari pada 2,704 pada taraf signifikan 1% dengan db 40. Dengan perbedaan perolehan nilai tersebut maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangan deskripsi dengan menerapkan metode Quantum Writing lebih baik dari pada kemampuan siswa yang diajar dengan mengunakan metode konvensional. This research is motivated by problems in the aspects of the ability to write essays in the description of class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Panca Rijang. These problems include (1) students are not responding to learning to write descriptive essays, (2) students have difficulty in describing an object or event in the form of essays, (3) Teachers do not use innovative learning methods in order to stimulate and develop students' abilities in writing , (4) Students are less aware of the importance of studying descriptive essays. This study is an infra-research that aims to determine the presence or absence of the influence of the use of the Quantum Writing method on student learning outcomes on the ability to write essays in class XI description of SMA Negeri 2 Panca Rijang. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the empirical value is greater than the table value of 7.187 is greater than 2.201 at a significant level of 5% and 7.187 is greater than 2.704 at a significant level of 1% with db 40. With the difference in the acquisition of these values it can be concluded that the ability students in writing description essays by applying the Quantum Writing method are better than the abilities of students taught by using conventional methods.
