OPTIMIZATION POSITIONING CATCHMENT WORKS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF KATIOLA (NORTH CENTRAL IVORY COAST)

SUMMARY

The main objective of this research is to show how remote sensing and GIS can help to optimize the implementation of catchment works in base zone. Most of the groundwater resources is contained in the discontinuous aquifers of the base. The study of fracking, using effective tools, proves to be a crucial step in the decision to locate wells and boreholes in base zone. The proposed decision process mainly operates GIS and remote sensing techniques to the acquisition of reliable environmental data, in order to emphasize quality information, bases of any decision to groundwater management. Our work presents concepts for the development of a decision aided system suitable for the conduct of project management and exploitation of groundwater. The methods of statistical analysis and geostatistics applied to data allowed to obtain information on the lineaments automatically extracts from radar interferometry image with hydrogeological productive areas to provide optimally well implantation. It is clear from this work that remote sensing and GIS facilitate the implementation of wells in base zone.
