SUMMARY
Objective. The article presents the results of an empirical study of the influence of the personal Internet orientation (personality changes on the Internet, typical behavior in cyberspace) on the Internet texts understanding.Materials & Methods. Different theoretical methods and techniques were used for this purpose: deductive and inductive methods, analysis and synthesis, generalization, systematization. Empirical methods were used for this purpose: experiment (semantic and receptive), method of semantic and pragmatic interpretations, content analysis, subjective scaling procedure. Mathematical methods were used : primary statistics, checks on the normal nature of the data distribution, statistical output, taking into account statistical indicators of fashion and the scope of variation, correlation analysis. As well as some interpretive methods that are based on specific principles of systemic, active, cognitive, psycholinguistic approaches.Results. The author's distinguish three types of personal Internet orientation depending on the motivation and creativity of user behavior on the Internet. The basic level of personal Internet orientation includes users who access the Internet to meet the basic needs for food, physiology, safety and belonging to the community by searching for relevant information. A high level personal Internet orientation suggests that the user accesses the Internet to meet the highest needs related to respect, self-improvement and self-realization, that requires not only using, but also the creation of content. The middle level is intermediate between them.Conclusions. As a result of empirical research involving 716 respondents from different regions of Ukraine, it was determined that the high level of personal Internet orientation facilitates to the reception and accuracy of recipients' expectations. It is accompanied by an improvement in cyberspace orientation, adaptation to its conditions, more real forecasts of the Internet texts content, more consistent attitude to the verbal environment of the Web. However, the quality and completeness of the Internet texts interpretation improve insignificantly with the evolution of Internet orientation. And the adequacy of the mark of the Internet texts complexity even decreases.
