SUMMARY
The search for new drugs for the local treatment of dermatitis that would combine the anti-inflammatory, reparative, antimicrobial effect and minimum side effects is an extremely important problem for the modern pharmaceutical science. This paper is devoted to the study of the anti-inflammatory properties of a new topical agent in the gel form, which comprises silver nanoparticles and glucosamine, on the model of subchronic inflammation of the skin in rats induced by turpentine. It has been found that the gel studied reduces visual signs of inflammation by 66.7%. Reducing the thickness of the skin fold of damaged tissues was by 15.5% in the group, in which the gel was applied (p <0.005), by 13.0% – in the group with the reference drug (p <0.005) and by 4.9% – in the control group compared to the beginning of treatment. According to the dynamics of biochemical parameters in the treatment of animals with dermatitis using the gel studied one can suggest the presence of a pronounced anti-inflammatory, membrane-stabilizing and antioxidant effects, and it does not deny the existing literature data on the mechanism of the anti-inflammatory action of nanoparticles of silver and glucosamine hydrochloride. By its anti-inflammatory activity the drug under research exceeds the reference drug – “Dermazin” cream, it makes promising its use for the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases.
