SUMMARY
Students who study while working is a phenomenon that is often encountered today. When students choose to carry out these roles, students need hardiness in order to have the right attitude and strategy in dealing with multiple roles. This research was conducted to see the hardiness in Padang State University students who work part time. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The number of samples in this study were 202 Padang State University students who work part time. Sampling was done using purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this research was the adaptation of the Dispositional Resilience Scale: A Short Hardiness Scale (DRS-15) which was distributed via google form. This reliability of the adapted DRS-15 sacle was 0.766. The results of this study indicate that most of the hardiness owned by Padang State University students who work part time(95.0%) are in the high category and (5%) are in low category. This shows that Padang State University students who work part time tend to have personality traits that shape attitudes and strategies to become stronger individuals so that they are able to face obstacles and challenges in the activities they do, because they are able to fulfill, control role conflicts and create opportunities in their work. improve self-ability.
