KARAKTERISTIK MORFOMETRIK DAN MERISTIK IKAN PUTAK (Notopterus notopterus, Pallas 1769) DI WADUK SEI GESEK KABUPATEN BINTAN Ulfa Rianti,Susiana Susiana,Dedy Kurniawan

SUMMARY

Bintan Regency is one of the regencies in the Riau Islands Province, which has excellent potential for fishery resources. There is a watershed in Bintan Regency, namely the Gesek Watershed. Sei Gesek Reservoir has initially been a small river where various aquatic biota lives. One aquatic biota that lives in the Sei Gesek Reservoir is belida fish (Notopterus notopterus). The purpose of this study was to determine the morphometric and meristic characteristics of belida fish (N. notopterus) in Sei Gesek Reservoir, Bintan Regency. This study uses a survey method. Based on the fishing area, a sampling of belida fish (N. notopterus) was carried out within 3 months. Data analysis to determine the morphometric characteristics using linear regression equation that produces correlation values and growth status. The number of samples as many as 30 tails, namely 16 males and 14 females. The results of this study indicate differences in morphometric characteristics. The female fish have a larger body size than the male fish. The body growth of belida may be allometric positive, allometric negative or isometric. The observed meristic characters (the scales and spines) show there are no significant differences between the male and female fish. If there are more fish samples, those meristic characters may be changed.
