New approaches for contemporary architecture

SUMMARY

On the subject of contemporary architecture, the Author proposes new “approaches”, in consideration of the social and political situation, which, with the continuous migratory fluxes, demands solidarity, hospitality and integration: an “anthropological approach”, given the complex phenomenology of social life as conditioned by the technology of interactivity; a “management approach” to develop in professionals, institutions and their unifying networks, abilities geared towards conservation and enhancement of historical centres, and to set goals that can be achieved in sustainable fashion; a “participatory approach” between local communities and those newly arrived in a city’s old quarters, programming joint activities, from which relationships between different peoples may emerge and in which everybody is a “player” and a driving force for “unity”.
