SUMMARY
The method of automated modulation type recognition and determination of signal parameters by radiomonitoring facilities is offered in the article. The method establishes an procedure of application of the approaches to the definition of signal analytic representation, signal quality estimation, the realization of preprocessing operations, the determination and correction of signal parameters, the recognition of modulation type and phase constellation shape on conditions of lack of any a priori information about the analyzing signal parameters.The main attention is paid to the realization of the sampling and quantization operations, obtaining of signal analytic representation taking into account practical problems connected with time and frequency signal limitation, imperfect technical features of radio receivers.Proposed practical approaches to signal quality estimation are based on the determination of the noise power in the signalless time periods or adjacent frequencies and allow to make a decision on reasonability of further signal processing.Signal parameters determination and modulation type recognition on conditions of lack of any a priori parametric information is implemented by using parameter free modulation features to separate all signal in general modulation classes, signal parameters estimation of identified classes, modulation type recognition and refining defined parameters. This approach allowed to increase the number of automated processing radio signals.
