CONSIDERING THE FLUID MECHANICS OF THE DAMPERS WITH THE DAMPING BRIDGE SPANS

SUMMARY

There are many methods of damping the oscillations in bridge girders with the use of hydraulic dampers. The offered paper is devoted to more careful calculation of the dampers themselves, in particular – their basic working characteristics. Recommendations have been given concerning optimization of operational characteristics of the dampers.
