SUMMARY

On 5 September 2008, the degree of Doctor of Literature, Honoris Causa, wasconferred on B.T. Sue Atkins by the University of Pretoria. The decision by theCouncil and the Senate to award her this degree was taken on the grounds ofthe following considerations as stated in the following commendatio read at the graduation ceremony.
