SUMMARY
Augustine says that time evaporates between the reality of the present moment and the fathomless border between the past and the present, in fact the unfathomable "nothingness" that appears and vanishes simultaneously. The phenomenology of musical time within the Catholic liturgy is also embeded in eschatological space between "already" and "not yet": both in understanding its inner form, which is connected with the Christian comprehension of a rounded off temporal totality, as well as in understanding its contextual definition, torn between the present of worldly liturgy and the timelessness ofthat of heavenly Jerusalem.
