OPTIMIZING THE ROLE OF COMMUNITY-BASED COOPERATIVES IN REDUCING BANK EMOK FLENDER PRACTICE IN SUKABUMI CITY

SUMMARY

Increasing the competitiveness of cooperatives in this modern era is demanded by all parties to carry out optimization activities in increasing the role of cooperatives. So that people with low income levels are currently having trouble finding partners to get loan assistance to meet their needs immediately met without complicated requirements and not related to emok bank loan sharks who are mushrooming in the community. However, in reality, people tend to think that emok banks are the same as cooperatives. The purpose of this research is that the cooperative has a proper role in accordance with the cooperative law and can play an optimal role in improving and assisting the community in meeting their needs and reducing the practice of bank moneylenders in Emok. The method used in this research is the comparative causal method which aims to compare the similarities and differences between the Bank of Emok and the cooperative. The sampling technique uses Nonprobability Sampling with accidental sampling techniques in the Sukabumi community who use the services of the Cooperative and Bank Emok, totaling 97 people. The analysis technique to test the hypothesis using the independent sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences between Emok Bank and the cooperative.
