SUMMARY
The present paper places reflections on the past and contemporary vision within the environmental theme, emphasizing the persistent incisions between ecological, economic and social issues in multilateral negotiations aimed at repairing and adapting to environmental damage. Together with this, he places sharp ideas from Marxist thought that pleads for the complementarity and integrality of the human being with nature. To conclude with the reflection of what it means to think of the environmental crisis as a civilizing key and the commitment to an interdisciplinarity that surpasses the reductionist views that have accompanied us in the approach to the environment.
