Minimally invasive technique for the management of intraventricular tension pneumocephalus

SUMMARY

Tension intraventricular pneumocephalus is associated with increased intracranial pressure, blockage of cerebrospinal fluid circulation and causes rapid neurological deterioration requiring emergent intervention. We present a case that illustrates the principles of innovative minimally invasive technique for the management ofpneumocephalus complicated by asymmetric hydrocephalus, in light of cerebrospinal fluid pathophysiology and dynamics.
