SUMMARY
This study aims to determine the antibacterial effectiveness of hand sanitizer gel and spray ethanol extract of papaya seeds (Carica papaya L.) against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and to determine the physical evaluation of hand sanitizer gel and spray preparations from ethanol extract of papaya seeds (Carica papaya L. ). The method used is the experimental method. The data analysis used in this study is the one way ANOVA statistical test. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the gel had an inhibitory power of 7 mm, 6 mm and 4 mm. Meanwhile, in liquid spray, the inhibition zone of 0 mm was obtained. the evaluation results of the gel preparations were stable, while the spray preparations were unstable because the extract did not mix perfectly and the spray color did not match the color of the extract, which was slightly white after being filtered.
