ANTIK DÖNEM MEZAR STELLERI ÜZERINDE BETIMLENEN SIMETRIK KARINALI TICARET GEMILERI / ANTIQUE AGE SYMMETRICAL BOTTOM OF THE TRADE SHIPS DESCRIBED AS ORNAMENT ON THE TOMB STONES

SUMMARY

Antik dönem mezar stelleri üzerinde betimlenen simetrik karinali ticaret gemileri adli bu çalismada, mezar stelleri üzerindeki gemi betimlemelerinin, hem mezar sahibinin meslegi ile iliskisi hem de stel üzerine islenen gemi betimlemesinin tipolojisi ve gelisimi ortaya konulmaya çalisilmistir. Öyle ki mezar stelleri üzerinde bulunan gemilerin mezar sahibinin meslegi ile iliskilendirilmesine yönelik olarak çalismamizda yer alan yazitli stellerden bir tanesinin üzerinde “Mutlu bir sekilde 70 yil yasayan Phoibianos oglu Nikomediali denizci Koryntos selam eder” yazisi mezar sahibinin denizci oldugunu göstermekte ve genis bir dagilim alani olan diger stellerdeki betimlemelerde de gemi motifinin seçilmesi ayni amaca yönelik oldugunu göstermektedir.
