NISBAH KELAMIN DAN UKURAN PERTAMA KALI MATANG GONAD KEPITING BAKAU, Scylla serrata (Forskal, 1775) DI PERAIRAN SUNGAI SANRANGANG KABUPATEN TAKALAR I Wayan Kantun,Sri Wulandari Wulandari,Husni Angreni Angreni

SUMMARY

Ukuran lebar karapaks kepiting bakau yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini di bawah 12 cm dan tidak memenuhi syarat Peraturan Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Nomor 16/PERMEN-KP/2022.Mud crab utilization activities in the Sanrangang river waters, Takalar Regency have been carried out intensively so that it  tends that overfishing has occurred and  decrease in reproductive size. This study aimed to  analyse sex ratio, gonads maturity  stage ( GMS) and the width of first maturity of mud crab (Scylla Serata). This research was conducted from June to August 2020 in the Sanrangang River, Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi Province,  used an experimental fishing method to compare the efficiency and effectiveness of three types of traps, namely folding, rakkangs and velg, using mozambique tilapia  as bait. The data obtained were processed by Chi Square non-parametric test. The results indicated that the number of mud crabs for folding trap, rakkangs and velg trapwere 120; 107; and 110 individuals, respectively. The sex ratio of male and female for folding trap, rakkangs and velg trap were 1.67:1’00; 1.81:1.00 and 1.50:1.00. The gonad maturity stage showed that was starting from stage  I-V which dominated by the mature stages for folding trap 47.50%, rakkang 68,22% and velg trap 51.82%. The width at first maturity of male for folding trap, rakkangs and velg trap respectively for carapace width were 80.13 mm, 77.15 mm and 77.52 mm, while for females were 82.54 mm, 76.10 mm and 85.16 mm. The sex ratio was in balance with the condition of the male mud crabs earlier matured.  The width of the mud crab shell obtained in this study was below 12 cm or 120 mm that  did not meet the requirements of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation Number 16/PERMEN-KP/2022.
