SUMMARY
The aim of this study is assessment of the relationship between pedagogical formation program students’ attitudes personality traits and towards teaching profession. For this purpose, in order to determine students’ personality characteristics is used Adjective Based Personality Scale (ABPT) which is developed by Bacanli, Ilhan ve Aslan (2009), in order to determine pedagogical formation program students’ attitudes towards teaching profession is used Attitude Scale of Teaching Profession which is developed by Çetin (2006). The working group containing 220 female and 137 male totally 357 students is composed of graduated students attending the pedagogic formation education in Selcuk University in the academic year of fall and spring in 2012-2013. According to the analyzed of the research is found a relationship between students ‘attitudes towards teaching profession and personality traits in terms of openness to experience, extraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness, there is a meaningful and positive relation the level of .05.ÖzetBu arastirmanin amaci; pedagojik biçimlenme programi ögrencilerinin kisilik özellikleri ile meslege yönelik tutumlari arasindaki iliskinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaç dogrultusunda ögrencilerin kisilik özelliklerini belirlemek için Bacanli, Ilhan ve Aslan (2009) tarafindan gelistirilen “Sifatlara Dayali Kisilik Testi (SDKT)”, formasyon ögrencilerinin meslege yönelik tutumlarini belirlemek amaci için ise, Çetin (2006) tarafindan gelistirilen “Ögretmenlik Meslegine Yönelik Tutum Ölçegi (ÖMTÖ)” kullanilmistir. Arastirma örneklemi Selçuk Üniversitesinde pedagojik formasyon egitimine devam eden, 357 ögrenciden olusmustur (220 bayan, 137 erkek). Veriler 2012-2013 bahar ve güz döneminde, toplanmis ve analiz edilmistir. Arastirmada yapilan istatistiksel analizler sonucunda kisilik özellikleri ve meslege yönelik tutum arasinda disadönüklük, yumusak baslilik, deneyime açiklik ve sorumluluk kisilik faktörlerinde .05 düzeyinde anlamli pozitif yönlü bir iliski oldugu saptanmistir.
