SUMMARY
The problem of infiltration of water in dams, soil and deposits in the reservoirs is of concern to the General Directorate of Water of Benin. In addition to the loss of precious water and deposits, thus reducing the water resources of the reservoir, can even jeopardize the stability of the structures and consequently present threats on the property and populations downstream. The Wourowourokou Min Dam is one of the dams in northern Benin heavily subject to these very important problems. The decline in water resources in the reservoir impedes the development of agriculture, livestock farming, fishing and fish farming and makes domestic water use difficult in Wourowourokou. These recorded difficulties justify the validity of this study, which proposes to highlight the seriousness of infiltration and deposits at the Wourowourokou dam in northern Benin.
