SUMMARY
Abstract. The restriction of social mobility and activity during the COVID-19 pandemic has been implemented to stop the deadly transmission of the SARS-CoV2 virus. People are forced to stay at home and strictly perform the COVID-19 health protocol in their daily activities. Currently, adapting to these new habits is considered the best strategy worldwide. This community service activity aimed to assess the knowledge of the urban and rural adult community in West Java about COVID-19, comorbidity, oral diseases, and the quality of life (QoL) during this pandemic situation by using a pre-and post-test quasi-experimental design with an intervention of health-knowledge sharing using leaflets and videos, and a WHOQOL 2012 questionnaire to study the QoL. The total initial recruited respondent by the purposive sampling method was 156, however, only 131 respondents continued the study. Results revealed that the pre-test score ranged between 1.67-9.93 (maximum score = 10) with only 56% scored above 8, whereas the post-test score ranged 3.97-9.92 (maximum score = 10) with 72% scored above 8. Based on the WHOQOL 2012 questionnaire, 87.2% of the respondents are categorized as good and the rest are in medium QoL. Physical conditions/pain have a direct effect on the QoL. It could be concluded that the knowledge-sharing intervention to the community gave a good impact in enhancing the knowledge of the respondents, however, a continuous program should be further carried out for better results.
