SUMMARY
Tujuan Penelitian menganalisis profesionalisme Polri sebagai penyidik dalam penegakan hukum di Sulawesi Selatan. Metode peneltian adalah penelitian normatif dan penelitian empirik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa profesionalisme POLRI dalam penegakan hukum proses penyidikan tindak pidana di wilayah hukum POLDA Sulawesi Selatan masih kurang optimal. Dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi profesionalisme POLRI dalam penegakan hukum penyidikan tindak pidana di wilayah hukum POLDA Sulawesi Selatan antara lain faktor normatif yaitu perundang-undangan yang berhak itu penyidik tidak sinkron. Faktor empiris yaitu masih lemahnya sikap kesadaran hukum/budaya hukum yang dimiliki oleh penyidik, sarana atau fasilitas yang diterapkan untuk mendukung eksistensi Polri kurang. Sedangkan upaya-upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan profesionalisme POLRI dalam penegakan hukum penyidikan tindak pidana di wilayah hukum POLDA Sulawesi Selatan antara lain peningkatan sarana dan fasilitas untuk mendukung eksistensi Polri dalam menjalankan tugas.The research onjective to analyze the professionalism of the Police as investigators in law enforcement in South Sulawesi. The research method is normative research and empirical research. The results of this study indicate that the professionalism of the Indonesian National Police in law enforcement in the criminal investigation process in the jurisdiction of the South Sulawesi Regional Police is still not optimal. And the factors that affect the professionalism of the POLRI in law enforcement of criminal investigations in the jurisdiction of the South Sulawesi POLDA include normative factors, namely the laws that have the right to investigators are out of sync. Empirical factors, namely the lack of legal awareness / legal culture owned by investigators, the facilities or facilities applied to support the existence of the National Police are lacking. Meanwhile, efforts are being made to improve the capability and professionalism of the Indonesian National Police in law enforcement of criminal investigations in the jurisdiction of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, including increasing facilities and facilities to support the existence of the National Police in carrying out their duties.
