Ventana óptima de un hierro dúctil austemperizado con aleantes carburizadores

Resumen

En este trabajo se llevaron a cabo tratamientos térmicos de austemperizado a un hierro dúctil con 0.45 % Cr y 0.2 %V para determinar la ventana óptima de proceso. El hierro dúctil se austenitizó a 900 °C durante 60 min; posteriormente se austemperizó a 285 °C por diferentes tiempos entre 15 a 90 minutos. Durante el tratamiento térmico se obtienen dos fases conocidas como ferrita acicular y austenita con alto contenido de carbono. Esta última fase se cuantifica con rayos X. El valor más elevado de austenita (35%) se obtuvo en la muestra tratada a 60 minutos; mientras que el menor (21.7%) se obtuvo a los 15 minutos. Adicionalmente, se evaluó la dureza de las muestras. El mayor valor de dureza (59.9 HRC) se obtuvo en la muestra tratada a 30 minutos; mientras que la dureza más baja (53.9 HRC) se obtuvo a los 90 minutos. Evaluando los datos la ventana del proceso se encuentra entre 60 y 90 minutos.
