Estado Cultural de las Costras biológicas del suelo

Resumen

La presente investigación tuvo como propósito demostrar el estado del conocimiento internacional y nacional de las costras biológicas del suelo, en los últimos 10 años.  Se realizó mediante la revisión bibliográfica de artículos científicos, una investigación documental partiendo de la definición de estas costras, funciones y su estado del conocimiento en los diferentes países. Como conclusiones tuvimos que el estudio de las CBS en los últimos 10 años está principalmente dirigidas a su composición, ubicación taxonómica y distribución por el mundo, al igual que las investigaciones encabezadas por el importante papel de las especies de cianobacterias como fijadoras de nitrógeno. Han sido descritas tanto en Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Perú, Australia, China, España, México, pero sus investigaciones se realizan principalmente en EE.UU. En el ámbito nacional se evidenciaron pocas investigaciones, principalmente los trabajos vinculados a un proyecto impulsado por la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias de la Universidad de Cienfuegos.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research was to demonstrate the state of international and national knowledge of biological soil crusts, in its last 10 years. It was carried out through the bibliographic review of scientific articles, a documentary investigation based on the definition of these crusts, functions in the soil and their state of knowledge in the different countries. As conclusions we had that the study of the CBS in the last 10 years is mainly directed to its composition, taxonomic location and distribution around the world, as well as the investigations led by the important role of the cyanobacterial species as nitrogen fixers. They have been described in Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Australia, China, Spain, and Mexico, but their investigations are carried out mainly in the United States. At the national level, few investigations were evidenced, mainly the works linked to a project promoted by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Cienfuegos.
